RAW moderators

Can someone tell me if the new raw moderators can be unscrewed, as far as the carbon fiber part of it. The old ones that are 'round' can be for cleaning and shortening the gun about five inches to fit the gun in a smaller case than if the moderator was on. Also, is there any difference in loudness between the older one and the new one. I'm looking to buy a .25 with a polygon barrel. Getting information about the barrel and any options is just about impossible since Martin sold the business. It isn't like it used to be when you could talk to him directly.

Thank you.

I've been on the phone with Leah for a week trying to get info about the HM1000x rifle with a polygon barrel ,etc. The problem is that she doesn't know any more than we do about this gun. When some of my questions are answered they lead to another question and on it goes. If you wanted to know in the past one would just call Martin. It's a bit frustrating for both of us. It's hard to explain some things when the person has little or no knowledge of what you're talking about. I'm sure it will get better but right now it's difficult. That's why I've reached out to the members for help. Several members already have what I'm looking at and would know the answers to most or all of my questions.

When the CF part,(tube), is removed from the CFOS moderator how much does it "shorten" the overall barrel length? Martin has changed moderators three times in the last four years. I'll call them gen 1, gen 2 and gen 3. All are carbon fiber and there is no sound difference to speak of. The gen 1 moderator looks almost identical to the gen 2 which is pictured on the raw website. The main difference is the way it is attached. There is simply one set screw at the tapered part of the mod at the rear holding it to the barrel. Loosen the set screw and the entire moderator slides off the barrel. The gen 2 CF moderator can be unscrewed exposing the end of the barrel and the 'inter parts' of the mod that are still attached with locktite. After unscrewing the outside CF tube the overall length of the barrel is now shorter by about 5 inches which allows for easy cleaning, no straw needed, and for me it will now fit in my hard case. I've been told turnaround time for a new gun is 20 weeks. By that time the mod that I have now may not be available. That's why I'm trying to find out everything about the off set mod that he is now using. The gun needs to fit in the case. These cases are about 170 each and you cut the middle layer of foam, there's 3 layers each one 2 inches thick, to fit the gun. Pictured are two of the moderators that I'm talking about.
Thank you for any help.
