RAW HMX Parts

Are there any exploded views of the raw out there>? I want to see if I blew something out of my gun while repairing it.

Before pulling the bottle, I pulled the barrel just to make it easier for my weak hands to turn the bottle. After removing the bottle, I dry fired the gun to make sure I could remove the reg without pressure. I wasn't prepared for the BANG I got so it made me blink.

Is there an oring or anything that could have blown out of there? Or maybe something from the valve port? My gun does seem to be a little louder than it was. It could be my imagination. But I do feel a puff of air when firing now.

Well thank you for that. I think I got the barrel back in the same place, location wise. But I may not have tightened the screws correctly. I think I tightened the one closed to the breech first. I'm reading that I should tighten the center first, then front, then breech. So I'll recheck that and see what happens.

Oh, and I don't have a thimble.

I've looked all over the place for a schematic for the RAW and there just isn't anything. THE closest I can come is a few pictures of parts. I wonder why that is? Anyone have anything else?

Tune / reseal / service the RAW guns frequently ... yea will agree there is little published info on there inner workings. if you own one and mechanical in ability there really pretty simple with the parts and pieces making sense of where they are and what they do. If your not so inclined, you send it to those who are for required servicing.

Very little that wears out, some parts will need adjusting, MOSTLY o-ring replacement. Some specialty tools required in Reg servicing and adjusting etc for the advanced users.

PAY ATTENTION in dismantling and reverse in assembly, there is little too no rocket science involved.

There are plenty of schematics and you tube videos on the Theoben rapid and the theoben rapid reg. other than the cocking lever and a slight variation on the adjustment of the outer probe, they are exactly the same.

The only things to be conscious about are the tiny grubscrews in the probe/bolt assembly, the little grubscrew and the grubscrew that locks the pivot pin of the cocking lever, you need to slacken that before unscrewing the pin,

As Scott say, easy to work on, just take a photo of each step of disassembly, build in the reverse order.

If you run into any problems pm me and I will try had help.

Got it back together with the slightly lower reg pressure and I think we are going to be golden. However, I've noticed that the bolt doesn't align perfectly with the barrel. It moves slightly downward when it pushes the pellet in.

I have a video attached. Is this normal? Or is there a way to adjust this so that it has better alignment?

the bolt / probe is really loose on my raw. i sent this video to ken hicks at spaw. he said this is normal. seems odd to me. my bolt will not close without the magazine in place. with the mag or single shot tray installed it closes fine. still very accurate.
