Raw HM1000X lrt .22 question.

Thinking of buying the Raw hm1000x .22 and I have a couple of questions.
1- can the gun be adjusted down (FPS) to shot the JSB 18s around 900-920fps by simply using the hammer spring adjuster on the back of the gun?

2- if so what kind of shot count would I be looking at?

I am mostly a bench shooter with some hunting and right now I am stuck between the Raw and the Impact both in .22.
I may be wrong but I am thinking the Raw might more reliable.

Thanks,

Butch

Here’s my review it will answer your questions. It’s a great rifle but, to shoot 18gr in the 960-980FPS range it will require a tiny bit of grinding on the stock. Not a hard thing to do and for me it was worth it. It shoots way better than my .25 impact X

Slcrcflyer, great video. Thank you. I do have a question though, couldn’t you just remove the gun from the stock, unscrew the HS adjuster all the way and replace the HS spring? Or to change the HS spring do you have to disassemble the gun?
If you can just change the HS spring easily by unscrewing the end cap then I will be ordering me a Raw.
By the way you have a beautiful gun.
Thanks,

Butch

Yes you could just change out the hammer spring. I didn’t go that route because I didn’t have a lighter spring to put in it, I also wanted the ability to tune it back up to shoot the 22 cal 25gr JSB. Without having to change out the spring. To answer your question you will have to take the action out of the stock in order to change the hammer spring. Just make sure to remove the air bottle before doing so or you’ll break the stock. I will definitely say you won’t be disappointed with this rifle it is amazingly accurate and built like a brick poop house.
