Raw hm1000x chassis or fx crown continuum?

True, should've probably just mentionted hm1000x since the chassis is pretty much brand new and very few people have it. However, to be fair, the only thing that changes between the hm1000x chassis and the classic version is the fact that one has an aluminum chassis with ar15 furniture whereas the classic one has a wooden stock. Everything else is pretty much the same. Just thought that the chassis would be a better option because of modularity as well as durability? (the guys airforce/raw have said that the chassis is more durable than the wooden stock).

If you want classic good looks get the wood RAW....if you like modular and the.black AR tacti cool look 🤮 then the chasis. I really wouldn't say one is.more durable that the other for I don't see any of my Airgun friends mistreat their $2000 guns. Personally I think the chasis look is awlful and makes that rifle look naked. It's skinny grip doesn't look right and just doesn't seem like it would be very comfortable to shoot. But to each their own right. I did see a chasis for sale on the classifieds and whoever had it didn't have it long if that says anything.

So I found a pic on the interweb of the RAW chasis decked out with some tacti cool stuff then there's the classic RAW laminate. For me the decision would.be.easy with durability never even being considered.

Hmm, truth is, the chassis has been around for some time yet very few reviews have turned up. I've read around here that a few people managed to break their wooden stocks somehow. Also, the raw guys themselves have said that the chassis is supposed to be a more robust/durable option for their rifles. There was also a field review from mountainsportairguns, where it was said that the wooden stock felt delicate.

So I have owned 3 Theoben ( RAW roots ) and 3 RAWs and have never had a issue with their wood stocks and that is going back 20 years. Just my experience here. Could it be that RAW/Airforce is trying to push the Chasis because it's their baby and is easier and faster to produce than the wooden stocks Martin use to make? If the chasis is a better option for you than go for it. I'm definitely not a fan of it's looks but you will never convince me that RAW wood stocks are delicate. You wanted opinions and there is mine.

Yea I'll keep my RAW laminates as fragile as they are...lol.

But between a RAW and a FX Continuum I'd buy the RAW but not the chasis. Although the FX has 2 barrels and has the option of buying more barrel choices and caliber changes Ive never bought into that system. I personally like the robustness of RAW rifles compared to FX. By the way I have a FX Boss which shouts great but is alot lighter than my HM1000x. So although the FX is more versatile I'd still take the RAW hands down.

Now let's be FAIR. OP NEEDS TO OMIT "CHASIS" in his title in order for it to be a fair game. Probably get ZERO VOTES for the CHASIS since (probably) NOBODY has one. Sure got great numbers of happy HM1000x owners though. Yo

@YO Utah Airguns, Pyramyd Air, SPAW, and Airgun Depot all have chassis rifles in stock. Many also have standalone chassis for existing rifle owners to purchase available as well. We have them here at the shop for direct order too. We built a bunch of them right off the bat since they are so quick to make.

Now the Micro and Mini HM's is another story...We are still working on the final development and testing as the prototypes had to be sent to Germany for IWA and after the show was canceled it was a bit of a fiasco to get everything back here so that has taken us longer then we wanted, but we are hoping to have updates on those guns pretty soon!

If you keep posting photos of your famous blue TM I'm gonna cry....seriously one of the prettiest laminate guns to ever leave the factory. I know you and I have talked about the state of wood stocks, @Kdog, but for the sake of others in the thread; Yes, the chassis is getting a lot of play right now because it is the new thing, but wood stocks are not going anywhere. I think one of the things people missed in our booth at SHOT this year was some additional updates we have made to the New LRT wood stocks after getting some customer feedback. While visually, pretty much the same, the updates to the LRT add some neat functionality and once they are in full production Ill post a video about some of the small, but interesting things that have been added.

There are very few threads showing bench groups from the RAW.

Here's a few 100 yard Bench groups from my RAW HM1000x .30......it's the red gun pictured above. It will shoot 5 shot groups under an inch at 100yds. At that distance your biggest nemisance is the wind!

This is 9 shots...one magazine and you see where 7 shots were in a cloverleaf but 2 were affected by wind and drifted left of the main group but this 9 shot group is a.lil over a inch at 100 yds.
