RAW HM1000X LRT

TrapdorSpydrMarksman 3006, I saw on another post you sold this Raw .25 cal LRT. WHY?

I sold the rifle due to the noise really. It was my first caliber larger than .22 in airguns. My neighbors politely asked what I was shooting for the first time.......ever. I shoot thousands of shots off my back porch and around my place. Never a problem with my huggett equipped daystates. They are just insane quiet is all. Im not saying the RAW isnt quiet, but it is definitely noticeable when compared to my wolverine hilite .22.
Moving forward.....stealth and accuracy are my top two priorities. Furthermore, I hunt squirrels, pigeons, with some occassional raccoon hunting thrown in. I shot a squirrel the other day at like 40 yards with the wolverine .22. I took the shot presented which resulted in dead on chest facing me. The pellet came out his ass. He couldnt have been more dead if I had shot him with a .50 cal bmg.
I have alot of powder burners. I want my pellet gun to be ghostly quiet and accurate. The RAW had the accuracy. My Wolverine has both. I believe I crossed a line by going bigger than a .22 caliber......for me anyway.
I want my pellet gun to be fun......something I can plink with all day. For me.....going bigger than a .22 was starting to bridge the gap between my pellet gun, and my .22LR. I love my pellet gun because its a pellet gun. I dont know if this is making any sense the way Im explaining it.
The RAW is a fine rifle for sure. The accuracy is there. Out to typical shooting distances my wolverine can hang with it. Sure.....the .25 RAW would win at 100 yards, but most of my shots are like 50 or less. The wolverine can handle its own out to 75 for sure. The Daystate is more refined in my opinion. Let me explain.
In .177 or .22 caliber......I am undeniably a daystate fanboy at this point. I love their magazines and the anti double load indexing pin. There magazines are little marvels of engineering. Also, I like the harper slingshot.....behaves like a regulated gun without the regulator as a fail point/maintenance point. However, Daystates are typically underpowered in larger calibers. Not all of em.....but the ones I would want are.
If your like most people and want more power.....and a larger caliber then .22.......then RAW all the way and dont look back.
Me personally, Im going the other direction and my next pcp will be a .177 caliber Wolverine Type C with a 300cc air reservoir........and of coarse I will be buried with the Wolverine Hilite .22.

"scrane"Rapid Air Weapons are available in .22 and .177 and you can save $275.00 by buying the lower power HM1000 action. My HM1000 red laminate .22 is very RAW and very quiet, shooting at 29fpe. Lotsa shots per fill also!
But he said he already has a nice 22 rifle he is happy with. If he bought another, one of them wouldn't get used as they kinda fill the same role. It's not like one is a backpack gun or a bullpup etc.
