Raptor leaking

Yes, I'd contact JSAR. Jacob is trying real hard to catch up on orders. He did send me my free adjustable regulator, and a part for a magazine, just a week or so ago. Also you might just shoot it, "a lot" and let things settle/seat, etc. etc. It may work itself out. Kinda like breaking in a new engine. They may cough, snort, and blow smoke at first, but after things seat in, all's good. I fear JSAR's response will be to return the rifle, and with things the way they are currently, I don't think I'd want my rifle out circulating in the mail.😉

I aired my raptor .30 cal and I had a slow leak, at first i though it was from the gauges but i removed the breech and i can hear the air coming out from the transfer port, I think the valve is not sealing properly, any ideas on how I can stop the leak ??

There is a Raptor disassembly video on youtube that may help you with that. Find out what size o rings to get and go for it. Then tell us what it was so if we have the same problem we'll know what to do :) Thanks.

Pending HOW LONG you have had the rifle ? The poppet and seat design had a rework @ Jan/Feb of 2020. If yours predates this you need to get the new poppet and seat from JSAR and change it out.

If gun is only a month or so old ... likely the poppet needs to only be spun against the seat a couple time to better burnish it in. ( valve has to be out of gun to do this using a cordless drill to spin the poppet stem while applying pull back pressure against the seat.

Hey Scott, is there any way to differentiate between old and new?

Lol 🤔🤔,I've had my raptor since last September and still no adjustable regulator much less a reworked poppet and seat, hrmm time to contact JSAR once again.

Wish me luck.👍

Original design used a concave seat that pressed down into the valves internal bore with an o-ring around it. Poppet on sealing surface cut 90* to the stem ( Flat )

The new seat sits on top of the o-ring and has a flat sealing surface. Poppet looks similar tho now has a tapered angle to center within the seat and cut at @ 30*

Seat and poppet is just a running change and not a warranty retrofit unless there is a problem with original seat. As too the adjustable regulator ... you paid for it and have every right to receive one. Hound em !!!

Update on my raptor, this was the solution to the problem, when i used this method couple times, the brass part now looks very polished and it seals air perfectly
