R5M 25 cal (Standard) Velocities

Power tuning as far as what exactly? I’ve had an .25 R5M standard and .25 R5M Long and both were ok accuracy wise from about 880 to 920 with the 25.4 grain JSB Kings. Maybe I was just unlucky but I couldn’t get either to shoot the Heavies accurately any better than quarter size groups at 50 yards. I didn’t try slugs with either. I have an .25 R5 Super Magnum single shot that is much more accurate than either of the R5Ms but I never figured out why other than the barrel lottery?

Slugs only. How tight were they seating for you? I've had good success with every LW barrel in all of my EDGuns, but I have had to work on some a lot more than others. Not a huge deal for me and I enjoy it. It's largely dependent on having the right tools, I have a small collection of tools already that I have purchased custom made from Dave Kiff and everything I need for re-crowning and various types of chamfers with other hand tools that I've amassed. Getting a real good feel for barrel throating too, it's incredible what removing a few thou of material can do for slug accuracy when you go slow and get it just right 👍
