Question on Hawke scope fogged up

I grabbed my wildcat .25 and brought it out back to do a little shooting and when I looked through the scope the lenses were completely fogged up. Not sure what could cause this. I placed a thread on this forum back in October or November with some pics of my camo dipped wildcat along with the scope. It looks great and have used it ever since with no problems. My question is since I camo dipped the scope would that void the warranty? And if so could it be repaired? Id hate to spend $500 on another scope just because I camo dipped it months ago with no problems until now. Thanks
