The tricky part about buying a pistol scope for an airgun is parallax. Most pistol scopes have their parallax set to either 50 or 100 yards. We generally shoot our air pistols 15-35 yards. A great little inexpensive pistol scope is a BSA 2x20. But at close range there is parallax and you have to be mindful of it. Another favorite of mine is the UTG 2-7. It’s a little bigger scope but it’s parallax is set at 35yrds

I did read somewhere that they can be tuned by hammer spring adjustment but it is not something I can verify. Mine was so good out of the box that I'm not changing anything.

Does anybody know if the spring can be adjusted or replaced on the Hw 44
