Question for Wildcat owners

I do the same thing with my .25 WC and have not had a problem for going on 2 years. Other guns I own, like the BSA Superten, use an "O-ring based" magazine and are still in action after a decade or more. I think you're safe.

The only problem I've had with mine are with slugs falling out when cycling the gun. Mine are over a year old and have had a few thousands of pellets run through them. I wonder if they can be replaced?

I rocked one mag for a looong time with several thousands of .25 pellets through it and never had an issue. 

You will not hurt the spring leaving it wound up.

It's fast cycling and heat that damage springs. Loading and firing, are not "fast" cycling..!

Yes, the centers unscrew out of the magazine, but FX uses some sort of Loc-Tite product that needs heat to soften enough to remove. The 'O'-Ring size for a 25 caliber is below.

Some of the older Gen I magazines did not have the Loc-Tite and simply unscrewed easily. YMMV.

Just the shorter ones like 22.5 VKs and the 28g boat tails in my 22cal. You can see light all the way around (except where the o-ring is) all slugs in the mag. There has to be a way to replace the o-ring? It's at least a two-piece mag so how do you press the center out and replace the o-ring? I'm willing to try when I get some time. 

You unscrew the center piece with a plier. From the loading side of the magazine you can use a plier on the flange where the ball is. You will probably scratch it some, but it will still function as normal.
