Question for the Nielsen family

I believe it has. I like being around people who think similar to me which I did not have in Southern California. I now have a 2 mile commute to work and people are much nicer and friendlier out here.

I have a much bigger house on 5 acres which is monstrous compared to what you have in Southern California and cost about 60% of my home in CA. Gas currently is $2.85 vs California at $4.40 per gallon. Electricity is much cheaper and now we are centered in the country to speed up delivery to much of the country. Plus I have deer and turkey in the back yard.

My kids were able to buy homes. Where we lived in CA a starter home is $500K and not in any top notch city. This is not obtainable for most young kids starting out. For them, this was a life changing opportunity for them and a major reason I sold my home to move out here.

Overall, I think was a very good, expensive but worth it move for us.

Thanks for checking in on us…

Rules? We ain't got no stinking: rules! We got LAWS! We just ain't got no policemen.

Are you from Russia? Male or female? I only ask because of your avatar.

I don't think I am allowed to answer that question. I think it is both off topic AND not airgun related. It is becoming increasingly more difficult to determine exactly what IS AG related and what IS on topic. Selective enforcement of the rules is very confusing. That happened at GTA before it's demise as well.

I totally agree with that but the guy behind the curtain owns the house so he gets to make the rules.

Don't ask. Don't tell. Got it.

Actually it is simply what happens when a site gets too big to be managed by the owner.

The owner brings in "volunteers" to enforce "rules". The volunteers, being human and part of the "in crowd", wether deliberately or accidentally enforce the rules based more upon how they feel... and who they like than the actual rules.

You end up with selective enforcement, cliques, and favoritism... But life is easier for the "man behind the curtain" so...

Money flows in. Industry influences take over. All is great.

Then one day one of the "volunteers" does something incredibly stupid and membership collapses to only the ruling clique ... The user base migrates somewhere else and the process begins again.

Meh, you know what they say, "Not my circus, not my monkey."

Happened on the "yellow", happened on "GTA", once the clique takes over and you are no longer allowed to freely complain, it is all down hill from there.

The process seems to take about seven or eight years.

Now watch this post.

I have lived in Missouri my entire life and am adjusted to the weather seasons and temperatures as well as the insects, just to name of a few things that I have heard complaints about. But if the weather conditions were overwhelming good most of the time I would not be able to afford to live here. But no matter where you live your going have take the good with the bad! But overall I enjoy it here in Missouri and I very sure you and your family will also. Great luck and have a great life here in Missouri
