Question for FX Airguns

Maybe I don’t understand selling restrictions per region by dealers, so some clarification might be helpful.
Because it really doesn’t make any sense to me right now when FX can’t keep up with the demand, at least here in the USA market.

I really don’t see the point of 20 impacts, Mavericks, barrel kits, even liners sitting on a shelf at some retailer overseas when there’s people willing to buy them here in the US. And no retailer here in the USA has any. I understand you might be trying to protect the retailers if there was an abundance of products. But you have people waiting for months here in the states while there’s inventory just sitting overseas at retailers like Krale that ship to the USA, have far better service than some of the USA retailers but FX won’t let them ship to the USA.

I think they should lift the restrictions, open the market. I don’t see how a dealer wouldn’t want to sell all their FX products. That’s the whole reason they have a store , to sell goods.

My opinion is that FX is completely disconnected with their market and customers. FX is amazing at innovation and making great guns but completely clueless in terms of understanding their market and customer loyalty. They do not seem to understand where the largest airgun market in the world is or how to take care of that market. They do excel at pi$$ing of their US current customers by selling most of their inventories to other countries and keeping all dealers here with zero inventory. I had to wait for multiple months and finally broke down and brought a slug liner from Europe. I had to wait over 5 months for my Impact when at the same time the Canadian dealer had a bunch in stock. .

What you said above applies to Airguns as well. Canadian dealers have them in stock, as some European dealers, even South Africa have them in stock but for some incomprehensible reason FX seems to give priority to all other countries to distribute for their products first. They prefer to sell their products to other countries who already have a full inventory rather than selling to the US.

In the US, the moment guns come in they immediately go out the door to those on the dealer's waiting list. Meanwhile most other countries have them in stock. IMHO, this not only screws the US customers but also the US dealers.

I wish FX would become more in touch with their US market and show more loyalty for the US customers & dealers who represent the largest airgun market in the world at this time.

I don't even look at new FX airguns. The interesting ones are rarely in stock. I looked at the ETA for a Maverick for example just prior to Xmas and it was January 4th for a Sniper version. But the same shop (as well as another) has been updating the ETA every day since I looked to keep it 2 weeks out. Which means the ETA is unknown. The dealers don't know when they will be in stock so why should I put my money on the line? When it's 2 grand in cash I can make money on the stock market waiting 6 months.

With full transparancy the US market is getting the most rifles by far, and also growing at the fastest rate. Sweden has ramped up production and producing nearly double the amount of rifles at this time of year than it was last year at the same time. Anyone who has experience in manufacturing on larger scales knows what kind of feat that took to double production, all while maintaining quality control and handling the logistics that Covid presented this year. We're doing very well and I know other manufacturers are nodding there heads in agreement secretly as they've seen what we've done this year.

Sure we had quite a few months of backorders due to the Covid juke (everyone was being careful on ordering parts and materials, expected things to halt with shutdowns, and not knowing how things would proceed - to finding demand doubling within 30 days and logistics being blocked everywhere we turned). The gap has closed. As i mentioned on a separate AGN post the wait time for rifles has severely reduced in all rifles but the Maverick (that is a raging bonfire at the moment). For instance the Impact wait time was as high as 4 months 2-3 months ago. We just shipped a large amount of Impacts that I know a good percentage aren't called for (with more coming from Sweden every two weeks).

And other dealers from around the globe absolutely have the same claims you do: why does the US get all the rifles when we can't get them. Perception is a tricky thing as it ebbs and flows. We gobble up a serious percentage of the growing manufacturing time of Sweden, and they have to juggle there other customers as well that often get the short end of the stick compared to the US market. That's reality. US customers have it really pretty sweet considering we also have the FX USA center for parts and service that other countries wish they had.

Definitely understand the frustrating of having to wait for a rifle you are excited to get. Bottom line we get that and are constantly pushing to meet the demand while also innovating for not just FX, but the airgun industry as a whole.

Appreciate the feedback as it certainly drives us to keep working hard to shorten leads times while our demand continues to explode.

Hope this helped explain things a bit more and you caught a glimpse under the hood of FX.

That’s a lot of writing, which everyone knows. BUT YOU FAILED TO ANSWER THE QUESTION. OR YOU ARE EVADING IT.

We all know that the US gets more inventory than other countries. We all know there’s a high demand for some products.

So let me ask again. Why the restrictions on dealers, when there’s customers ready to buy in the USA.

FOR EXAMPLE:

HUMA AIR, has parts and accessories IN STOCK that I am wanting to buy and I’m willing to pay shipping from overseas. Nobody has these parts in stock in the USA. Why restrict HUMA from shipping to the USA, when there is no stock in the USA. Aside from that I called you guys and placed an order and paid right away. I was told by your rep that my part would ship on the next shipping day. 3 weeks and 3 phone calls later I get told that my parts are not in stock. So I can’t get parts from the manufacturer (you), and you restrict the dealers overseas from shipping to the USA.

Or lets mention a Power Plenum. Why get Price gouged by Brancatto 300.00, when HUMA has it for half the price?

A more applicable example:

There is an extremely high demand for Edgun Leshiy 2 guns, parts and accessories. Higher than the Maverick I would say. There are parts and accessories that EdgunWest is out of stock, but they are available in Spain from Fransisco. I’ve placed 4 orders and all got here in just a few days. The manufacturer sold his product, the dealer made his profit and I’m a happy customer. Yes I would’ve ordered the parts from EdgunWest, had they been in stock. But since they were not, I paid the extra shipping and got my parts.

I understand the region restrictions when there plenty of inventory. But when there’s no inventory in the USA, let us buy from Overseas. Unless it’s being done with other intentions to keep a false sense of demand/ value and allow some dealers to price gouge the US market.

And no, I don’t want a Maverick. So this is not about me whining cause I have to wait for a gun. I have a few Impacts and a Crown collecting dust. My Leshiy 2 does things that none of those can’t. But I do love my Wildcat MK3, just need some barrels.
