Question for DayState regarding repairing Tactical Rubber Stock

Dear DayState,

I recently had the misfortune of having my Air Wolf Tactical fall out it's soft case while walking through the desert. The rifle survived but the Tactical Rubber stock has areas where the black tactical rubber came off where it made contact with the rocky ground. I was hopping you could tell me what my options are for applying the same tactical rubber coating to cover up the areas damaged from the fall. I can't afford a new stock so any advice or tips would be appreciated. Of note, I live in the States so I may not have access to some of the parts available in the UK.

Thanks,
Scott

Scott,
I have used this stuff to repair my EDgun rubber coating that is very similar to the Daystate.

Can you find the repair on this soft touch Eddie (hint it has nothing to do with dead squirrels)

I am looking for another solution. I talked to a Cerakote installer who does AR 15s, he quoted me a price of 50 dollars to strip the rubber coating and apply Cerakote to the stock. I may do the EDgun in OD green, I think it might look super sweet. Your Daystate might look really cool OD green. Cerakote is way tougher than that rubber coating.

Dang $50 to Cerakote a stock. Please tell us who/where? Sounds like a deal. Oh and good recommendation for Scott.

"travels4fun"I picked up a can of the Plasi Dip spray and tried it on a small section of the stock. After letting it dry overnight, I found it didn't take well to the rubber stock and was pealing around the edges. It also looked a bit too shiny and doesn't quite matcht the DayState's flat black finish. I'm thinking Cerakote might be the way to go.
Cerakote is some tough stuff. If you go that route you will likely have to remove all the plastic/rubber from the stock. Otherwise I doubt the Cerakote will adhere to it.
