question about c02

i have a large selection of pellet guns but would like to get some more shooting time with my crossman 1077 but with it being around zero every day kinda hard to shoot c02 .i have tried warming carts up by woodstove then keep in pocket till needed it works but not thar great i read some where some one put one of those bagged hand warmers under the cart on out side of gun could velcro or just tape on i dont care what it looks like just want to be able shoot longer if no one replys i might try it if they do would like to know if any has tried this or has a better idea thank you

Good question.

Co2 performance does really fall off in the cold. I've read about a guy or two that made modifications to keep their co2 guns warm in the cold, but don't recall how successful they were. I even considered hogging out room for a handwamer packet under the action of one of mine.

My fallback is to shoot in the basement even though it isn't all that warm or big. If you do a web-search you should find their results.

Luck,

J~

thanks i was just hoping someone had an idea that i dd not think of on the 1077 since it only takes one cart i almost think there might be room to wrap a small hand warmer around the c02 pierceing bolt but i sure would hate to have that bag break in there dont know whats in them but sure if it did break would be death of rifle or at best awful mess to clean out thats why have not tried that yet.
