QB78 safety

Been playing around with the QB78, changing from long tube to the older short tube without the bleed hole, thanks Ron. Got tired of having to remove the safety each time I wanted into the QB. Well, put the safety somewhere safe so it could not get lost. Damn old age, now I can’t remember where I placed it. I know it is in a safe place here in the shop, but where? Oh, I’ll probably find it one day right under my nose, if I live long enough. Otherwise, one of the kids will find it after I’m gone and think what the hell does this go to and then throw it away. 
Don’t you hate doing something this stupid? I mean losing the part I can understand, but not just remembering where you safely put up the part. Well, the gun works fine without the safety so I’ll just shoot it that way until my memory returns and reminds me where I put the safety. Stupid is as stupid does!
 
Putting it in a safe place is not a stupid thing, and although it is usually a bad idea, it's just what we do when we get old. I am constantly doing it myself. I find new and better places for stuff all of the time and once the item is moved I never see it again. ;^) I spend hours looking for things I have moved but often as not they have disappeared for good.

lol .. putting something in a 'special place' to keep it safe is always a bad idea .. i did that with a jet kit for a dirtbike awhile back .. its still mia lol ..

LMAO! I feel your pain!!

It's probably in a drawer with roughly 13 10mm sockets. (Mine included. Hit me up when you stumble across 'em) If I was the gamblin type,I'd also place a bet that all those left socks are in the same vicinity.

I’ve Been guilty of doing that many times. I would hide things from myself. I would Usually find them A couple years later when I was looking for something else then Sometimes didn’t need it anymore. But in your case you will still need it when you find it.I felt like a squirrel that hid their nuts and then couldn’t find them when they needed them later in the winter. LoL

Found the safety. I must of thought I'd put it with my Gauntlet parts since the safety is the same between the QB and Gauntlet. But, my Discovery parts were right next to the Gauntlet parts and I had put it in that bin. Looking for a Discovery part this morning, low and behold, there was my QB safety. At 81, my mind just doesn't work as good as it did a few years ago.
