If you want to alter the gun, for whatever reason and have the balls to do it, the more power to you!
A while back I posted some pictures of my Impact MKII that I had altered extensively. I sanded, buffed and polished all of the gun to a bright shiny silver finish! The first reply to the post was some guy who unloaded on me, telling me I had ruined the gun, it's value was gone and he hated it. He continued to tell me it was ugly and I was dumb for doing it. I loved the way it looked and would like to say it didn't hurt a little, but it did. However, about the next one hundred replies were people telling me how much they liked what I did and how cool it was. I'm not saying it to make you feel better, I just think it looks really cool and would rather have a custom gun than a cookie cutter that everyone else has too. I customize all of my guns to some degree. It sets them apart a bit and makes them unique. If the lighter weight makes it easier for you to carry, the more power to you. I just happen to think it looks cool, especially what you did to the stock behind the pistol grip, neat looking!. I've often wondered if all that extra wood behind the pistol grip really strengthens the stock that much. It sure looks better with that wood back there gone, you did a great job!!!
How do you like that Meopta? I used to have a pair of Meopta Binoculars that were great. I've read that their new scopes are spectacular but have yet to look through or try one out. Some of their new scopes look like they would be perfect for air gunners and the glass is supposed to be super..
