I don't have much to compare it to but a hand pump. Seems to work well. Pumps my FX Streamline from 120bar to 230 bar in about 3.5 minutes. I was debating between the Crosman and one of the Yong Heng compressors. Being able to use the Airgun Nation 25% off at Crosman is what persuaded me. Also the Crosman does not need to be lubricated or have an external coolant system. It has a built in fan & cools with air. After 2 weeks of use I decided to upgrade the moisture filter to one of the Gold Tuxing filters with dessicant beads. Switching from a springer to a PCP .... all I can say is "WOW" !!! The Streamline shoots sub 1/2" groups at 50yds all day long with JSB 18gr

If you fill the gun directly, that gold filter is really unnecessory. The filter will double the total filling time. To remove the moisture, it will be sufficient to use a dry tampon in the small black filter that came with the compressor for each fill. Used tampons can be left to dry by themselves and reused the next time until there is too much oil accumulated in the tampons.

Great looking little rig and glad to hear its working good for you. That gold filter is the ticket! I use it with my Yong Heng. You probably wont need to change the dessicant beads for a long time.

I was thinking that I needed a dessicant filter because the little black filter that came with it does collect moisture (the cotton gets damp). I'm scared that some will get through and damage my rifle. I definitely spent more money that I originally planned and now want to make sure my investment lasts.

Yes, it is possible to keep the filter pressurized at all time, even during storage. This is the rig around my gold filter :
At the inlet, the quick male connector has a check valve inside so air can only go in, not out. The pressure gauge is optional.
At the outlet, there is a needle valve and a bleed valve. When filling, the needle valve is in open position and bleed valve is closed. After it's done, the needle valve is closed to trap the compressed air inside the filter, bleed valve openned to de-pressurize the hose to allow it to be disconnected from the gun.
It is possible to store the filter pressurized when not in use but I did not do that for safety reason. At the end of a filling session, I use the compressed air left in the filter to blow the water out from the coolant passage of my Yong Heng compressor. An adaptor is made for the purpose :

Where did you get the parts for the filter? (Check Valve & needle valve w/bleed valve )

I got it from on-line shops in China. You probably can get similar stuff from AliExpress , Banggood or sources alike.

Has anyone tried to install some type of dryer on the intake side of this pump. I have a Traveler on order now.

Here are some pictures inside the compressor. I notice this little intake cotton filter. If you put a bigger desiccant filter for the intake would that help eliminate any moisture going out the out-take? Am I over thinking this?

I was wondering where the Smaller spare filters that came with the compressor were supposed to go. I put one inside of the Silver part of the Discharge filter because it fit perfectly in that space. Now I know what those are for, or do I???
I think anything that would stop or greatly reduce moisture going in would reduce moisture all thru the pump and out the discharge.
Thanks for opening your compressor up and discovering this filter. There is no mention of the intake filter in the manual.
