Interesting Mike, did taking off the shroud change the report any when you have the Tatsu on? I’m debating (without even hearing it...) if I’ll need the Tatsu or preferably the Tanto, but I’d like to keep this gun in a back pack so length is critical. Do you happen to know the diameter of the shroud? Ideal world I’d like to put the Tanto on the barrel direct and have the barrel band over it so it’s secure going in and out if the bag and banging around in the woods. You say your poi never changes without the barrel band on?

definitely remove that damn shroud. I have a DonnyFL Sumo on mine and if I even slightly bump it, there will be clipping.

With the shroud removed and the Sumo directly on the end of the barrel, I did not like that it was unsupported in the support ring at the end of the rifle. The barrel would flex.

Take the shroud end plug ( that was on the shroud toward the breech and slip that back on the barrel.

It fits the barrel perfectly and almost perfectly in the front support band.

One or two wraps with black electrical tape and it is a tight fit in the support band and you now have a fully supported barrel right up to the end where the suppressor screws on
