Came home this afternoon and it was 50 deg, sunny and no wind. Got my guns out and was doing a little shooting. I've been going to sell my 25 wildcat and replace it with a 25 impact. But now I've been thinking about the new 25 Pulsar. thinking I would like to try something with a WL barrel. Was going to call AOA and talk to them about the Pulsar, but I don't trust myself. Does anyone have one in a 25 yet? Any thoughts.

I noticed they seem to have been on a diet recently. I'm sure they weighed over 9lb the first time I looked on the AOA site but now it says a little over 8lb.

For what it's worth, I think you were on the correct track with the Impact. More innovative, nicer looking, better shot count, more power, less weight, less expensive, multiple calibers, doesn't need batteries and easy to sell if you change your mind.

I have only fired a .22 Pulsar. They are very nice. They are accurate (the one I tried was anyway). The build quality was excellent as you would expect from a Daystate. Even if they weren't horribly overpriced I wouldn't buy one though. It felt heavy and bulky to me and I like to hunt with my bullpups.

Still if you like it's styling and money is no object, I can't tell you the Pulsar is not a high quality air gun. It's top notch like all Daystate guns.

For $2800 I think it's about time Daystate offered a carbon fiber stock. The bar has moved and we need more than an accurate Airgun with a LW barrel and a regulator for that kind of coin imo.

I believe AOA has them listed for 2500.00. Would be nice to hear from someone that actually had one that they could weigh and run a shot string on. Would be even better to get my hands on one. The only reason for going with the daystate is that I have 3 FX guns and would just like to try one. When it comes to hunting I always go to my 22 wildcat. Accuracy is just crazy amazing, but most of all it just fits.

If you have the $2,500 to spend and actually think perhaps you would like one I say call the dealer! You are a serious buyer depending on the answers to a couple of questions , call and tell them just where you are at " I will buy it if, ___________ and __________ " would you check this for me please. Any good dealer will get your answers for you - even if it takes a day -.
Naturally shots count will vary somewhat depending on exact set up (m ight tell them you understand but as you'll buy the one they test if the numbers are good...) but yes any quotable numbers would be great!
And then share the answers here.
