A regional dealer offered me a good price on a new Taipan Veteran Compact / Short in 25 cal. With all the add ons the price was still cheaper than the local price for just the gun, significantly enough I couldn’t pass up the deal.
So the rifle should arrive some time next week, and it is the very last rifle I purchase for a while. The Taipan will be my second travel rifle along with my FX Impact Compact in .22 cal.
Also, I am glad to be getting a Czech rifle. My grandparents are both Czech, so it is an insult to them, IMHO, not to have a gun from CZ in the collection after I sold my CZ pistol years back. (Yes an excuse, but a “good one”
)
