Profile pic keeps reverting

Maybe if you "assign" the new pic & then close out AGN & reopen or just "refresh" it after. I seem to remember that happening to me.

Did you click "crop image"? I always have to do that because none of my avatar pics are perfect without cropping them as best I can and if I don't click "crop image", the change doesn't happen/take effect.

Backstop, I sure did, on this thread alone it has changed from, the old pic to the new pic to old, and as of now back to new. I’m having a weird day in general, so this dovetails nicely…very strange indeed.

OK, I'll try changing my avatar and see what happens. It should be a computerized painting version of my late cat, Baby.

Here goes... we'll see if if holds.

p.s.

Even before this latest version of AGN updates, I had strange things happen. 

Notably, on the home page I was credited for posts I did not make. Only on the main/home page. Everywhere else on AGN, it was attributed properly. This happened several times.

Oh well... this is home, roaches and all. (grin)

How long does it take for it to revert for you?

So far, looks like my avatar has remained as I posted it for this test.

I waited over 30 minutes and the avatar stayed (painting of my late cat) without changing/reverting back to the one I had before. I am going to change/revert it back now.

Without knowing how long it takes for your avatar to change/revert, I can't even hazard a guess why it won't stick for you. (shrug?)

Scotty1 just FYI the pic I see on every entry of this string is the head hunter pic.

They are running multiple instances of the server. The servers are cashing images that they pulled from the database for a certain period of time.

Give it a day.
