Problems with new crown

I received my new Blue Crown last week and it is beautiful I like the blue finish. This week I started to take it apart to install a rail for the bipod but had trouble getting the air bottle off of gun. Upon inspection I found the forward part of stock pressing against the bottle. I removed the rifle from the stock and found the problem. When assembled at the factory they used a small black bevel washer between the receiver and stock at the rear stock bolt and glued one at the middle of stock between the front and rear stock bolts but no shim at the front stock bolt. If you tried to tighten the stock bolts it would pull the front of stock up against the air bottle and not bottom on receiver. I made a shim the same thickness as the rear one and glued it to the stock now when you put the receiver in the stock it sits level and when you tighten up stock screws it sits flush with clearance for the air bottle.

I then Installed the Rail for the bipod. If you install a rail be sure that the mounting screws do not protrude to far thru the stock and hit the bottle. I then mounted my scope I used a MTC Viper Pro 5-30x50. You must use high rings to allow clearance for the magazine. Use FX rings if you can get them everything clears and looks great. I will be taking the rifle to the range next week and report back.

Let me know if any of you have this stock problem I think it was a fluke but would like to know.

I put my bipod mount on this weekend as well. I took pictures of the factory washers. They must just come standard with washers from the factory. My bottle just has clearance. I recessed the T-nut under my bottle.

"eodman"I see yours is also blue. When I first saw the washer that wasn't around the front stock bolt I thought that maybe it slipped and just ended up where is was. After your pictures it looks like they are there on purpose. If you tighten the front stock bolt will it close the gap between the stock and bottle ?
Yes it is a close fit but not touching. I just snug the rear one first then tighten the front one. I then go back and tighten the rear completely. I found that the rear one centers everything. If not the power wheel does not align up.

I have a feeling we will here some issues in the future. Everything has to align perfectly for the power wheel, safety and bottle to work correctly. They should have made it a little more like the Royale. One bolt and done!
