Problem with daystate wolverine R HP 0.25

I have already bought daystate wolverine R HP 0.25. the regulator pressure is supposed to be 170 bar ( factory set ) and as Mr Simon told before. But I found it ( 185 : 190 ) bar, I was shooting with Jsb King 25.4 gr and I got about 265 m/s approximately, with also speed fluctuations around 265 : 255 m/s, this was my experience for the first two week since I had this rifle .

I have many questions I want to ask

1- How could regulator pressure adjusted with this high pressure 185 bar ..... And factory said 170 bar ( written in reg body ) ??? . ( Was this a wrong factory adjustment ) as I think it is not mentally or not acceptable such as a great factory like daystate did a wrong mistake like this ??

2- This rifle supposed to be high power, and it only got 265 m/s and may be 255 m/s with 25 gn .... I didn't even used heavier pellets ??

3 - I have already adjust the reg pressure to 160 bar and I increased the stork tension to get 277 m/s ( is not recommend not to adjust the rifle for Max power, may high power setting caused short life for it's parts ( life time ) ????

Thanks very much

Where did you buy it? Might want to ask about having it repaired/inspected. 266 m/s seems too low, my pressure was set to 150 bar and I got 283/285 m/s. Maybe your reg pressure is too high and the valve isn't opening properly

!, Maybe elevation changes is causing the change. Could be reg creep, if you let the rifle sit a few hours what does the pressure say? Then after you fire a shot or 2, does the pressure remain the same?

2. LOL I realized that with daystate "HP" and "R" cancels itself out, my HP R in .25 shoots around 50Ftlbs, other daystates .25's non regulated will shoot 70ftlbs. No way to adjust hammer (that I know of) so increasing reg pressure to get more power won't work.

3. This is not a rifle I would try to mod or increase power, if you want more power, buy another rifle.

I recently did a full reseal and power mods on a .25 HP-R and was astounded / shocked to find the SAME SIZE poppet valve that a Regal, Mk 4 or Airwolf uses !!!

The valve throat too !! .... very small transfer path valve body to barrel as well. needless to say for gun that is supposedly something newer and one would think built around the idea of High Power operation ... IMO a dismal failure on that one. Low to Modest power ideally set up for some relativity on said subject.

Another issue was the Harper Slingshot hammer simply does NOT have sufficient stroke or inner core weight to open a larger poppet and barely is able to open the one in gun at higher reg pressures.

My take on em ... calling it out as seen first hand.

So the best thing to do, and i have already done it, is to decrease the reg pressure to 155 bar approx and increase the length of stroke ( 1.5 CW rotation ) to get about 277 m/s with 24.4 gn .

I bought the rifle from AOA ...... It is a new one

What did the paperwork say? Should have the shot string from Daystate and AOA.

What it lacks in power it makes up for in accuracy, fits polymags and does not double feed. I wouldn't re-purchase it over a FX Crown though

The shot string from daystate was pretty good, 31 gn done about 50 ft/b with stable muzzle velocity 857 f/s ( only five shot ).
