Anybody got experience with prism red dot scopes? Looking to probably get one for closer range shooting. Got a red dot but want to get away from relying on illumination. I've been checking some out right now top dog for me is the Athlon Midas TSP3.

i only have experience with a $100 acog clone, and some primary arms prisms. i really enjoyed the primary arms prisms, but opted for a red dot w/magnifier on that pb instead.

Primary Arms, Sig, and Swamp Fox (not listed on that list https://www.swampfoxoptics.com/shop-all#prism-scopes) all have fairly large cult followings on the pb forums as being very rugged, and good quality glass for being produced overseas

Yes I had a Vortex spitfire 1x on a Hatsan Barrage. The plus: black reticle when not illuminated the negative: has eye relief, needs to be focused, can not use a magnifier, not parallax free. I used an Aimpoint pro on my job rifle and on my m4 it groups 1/2 to 3/4 at 50 yds and on my 901 if i do my part I can group 1 to 1 1/2 at 100yds. For the price point of a good prism red dot I would rather use a good red, I have used Eotech's with similar results and have several Vortex crossfires with are fine for the price.
