Does anyone have suggestions about DIY pellet trap? We live in a suburban neighborhood. I have the room to setup a small range in the backyard. I’d like one that is economical, fairly quiet, and easy to setup/take down.

Search rubber mulch, lots of choices. Something 8 inches deep with at least a 10 x14 opening. I use 1.5 inch equipment packing closed cell foam to keep the mulch in place, lasts 1000's of shots before cleaning out and replacing foam. Don't ask where to get foam, I have no idea now that I am retired.

these are great

I like bending spoon handles in a circle and mounting them on a steel rod. Any thrift shop will have the spoons and Ace Hardware has the steel rod. You just need to build a yolk for the rod to swing in. Drill 2 holes just larger than the rod and slide the rod through adding the spoons once you get through the first hole. Blast away.

Here is an old school drop chart I made years ago. It'll work after the electricity goes off.
