Primos trigger stick bi pod modifications

I have the Primos tripod. While I was sitting the next room it failed and dropped my Impact to the floor on two occasions. So, I set a ten pound weight on it and it did the same less than than ten minutes later. So, I no longer buy anything that is associated with them and my tripod is relegated to only holding my lightweight chronograph.

This is what I came up with and it works good. Please notice that there are 2 drill bits still in there. Also pay attention that the mechanism to allow the sticks to go up and down is inside there as well. I would look at putting the screws or maybe something else in the plastic above instead of in the mechanism.

Looks like a decent mod …. I did mine last wk to limit leg spread. I also glued the handle base to prevent swiveling because I don’t need it. We will see if its worth using after awhile … I couldnt get used to it the way it came, even with a cord limiting travel, since that still allowed the handle to rock from side to side too much.
