Primary Arms,always wanted one.

The angry hello kitty reticle is designed for combat. Those measurements on the side are for ranging man sized targets. There are some tricks you can employ to make them work with deer but otherwise you will have to deal with the extra complexity. It seems a bit cluttered if you ask me. My understanding of them is that they don't actually design their own scopes and they are basically the same scopes you will find from several different brands except that they will have a different reticle or turret caps. I only say that as an educated guess because I see very similar scopes from other brands and it looks like they are made in the same factory. I could be wrong so don't hold me to that. Also that may not apply to thier high end scopes. That doesn't mean that they are bad either. I looked through one of their mid tier scopes and it was as clear or better than my discovery which I am very satisfied with. Not to mention thier high end scopes are getting rave reviews and a guy from my range told me they punch above thier weight class for value per dollar.

Hi there. I have 2 of them. My favorite is the Athena bpr reticle. I zero at 30 yards and use holdover. The cristmas tree reticle is very useful in airguns to me. When I miss I see exactly which dot It landed and hold there instead. Glass is pretty good but those hawks are slightly better.

Here's a pic at 3x & 16x

I picked up the new SLX micro 1x prism with Cyclops reticle & the GLX 2x prism with Gemini recently.

I contacted them about something & it led to them asking what rifles they were on. When I said low powered PCPs they very politely offered to take them back for a full refund since none of their optics are rated for airgun use. I'm not really that worried about it & decided to keep them.

As far as I know all of their optics start with the basic chevron in a horseshoe. I'm mostly a pinker nowadays so I'm not sure how I would like it for a precision target scope. I think it would be fine on a hunting scope, assuming the rest of the reticle worked with the distances I shoot.

Compared to Vortex Spitfire prisms only, I'm impressed with these two for the price. How that price to performance carries on through their variable optics I do not know.

I use a Primary Arms 4-14 FFP 30mm with a mil dot recticle on my P35, my most favorite gun. It is fine enough for target use at 14X but thick enough I can see it clearly at 6X (rarely go to 4X). Adjustments seem to track well. I'm thinking of getting a 4-16 for another PCP I want to buy. I would not put them into the same category of UTG because the one UTG I've used shifted POI a lot, was sent to UTG for service and never returned, no refund. So they made a bad scope and did not stand behind their warranty. I don't know how Primary Arms is on warranty service but they make a nicer product in my opinion and mine works fine. I don't know how their higher end products are but I think they are a very reasonable choice in the $150-$300 price category. I like my Hawke Vantage too and my Athlon Talos.
