I like to practice in the wind when ever I get a chance, makes me a better shot at understanding how the wind moves my shot.

Looks like a good video as are all of your posts, but I’m not getting any sound.

Thanks I have seen guys get frustrated in the wind, So I think you can over come it by getting use to it.

This is a better look at the groups, out of 15 shots only 4 were outside a dime….

The best shooting in the wind practice for me was shooting prairie dogs. I have gone about a half dozens times and when you shoot 300 to 500 rounds a day you get pretty good at shooting in the wind. The best situation was to have a steady wind from the side that would maintain its speed. Some people would think a wind at your back would be good but if it switched a little one direction or the other you would be hitting left or right. Usually we shoot from our benches but at times I would take my small caliber 17 Ackley Hornet out and shoot from the sitting position. It launches a 20 grain V-Max at 3700 fps. Here is a video of some of the close up action. Note the way the dust flies to get an idea of the wind speed. Bill

Thanks for the encouragement. Shooting in the wind is something I haven’t tried to tackle yet. I’ll even wait till evening till it’s calm and shoot under the lights!!
    Awesome groups BTW!!
