PR longest shot!

https://youtu.be/AONajS2SDzY

While not the longest shot ever achieved, it is my longest shot at 208 yards. This proved to be a little difficult as the target was outside of the reticle. I didn't want to re-zero the scope before heading out to EBR 2019. The point of aim was at the extreme top edge of the target using my last holdover marking. You will notice it takes me a minute to reacquire the target after I hit the golf ball. I have no doubt that I could stretch the Daystate Red Wolf.25 HP to 300+ yards and make the shot again if I had time.

Unfortunately this rifle is on loan and it has been sent back to AoA for me to use at the Extreme Benchrest competition. The scope that is being used in this video is a Sightron SIII 10-50x60 that I purchased from AoA to use in both benchrest and field target competitions. I have been using the .25 JSB King Heavy Diablo MK II pellets that weigh in at 33.95 grains.

Feels good doesn't it!

Seems to me the twist rate makes all the difference at those longer distances.

My G1 FX Impact 25 cal with 33's sprays pellets past 160Y.

The American Air Arms EVOL in 30 cal with 44's does very well even at 289Y, heck that particular day I had to use 3-4 mil of windage to connect on a 7" diamond shaped steel plate but I got it quite often. That was with unsorted pellets right out of the tin BTW, I bet there would be much more consistency if I just weighed the pellets. It's a nice rifle for extreme distances because it has a 50 moa pic mount on the receiver so with a scope that has plenty of elevation travel/ Athlon Midas TAC, I didn't even have to hold over using the reticle.
