PP750 finally arrived and Artemis Pistols Nirvana!

After what feels like forever the PP750 finally showed up at my door today. Big thanks to Wes @ Airgunarcheryfun and Brian @Veradium, the PP750 showed up shooting crosman 14.3 HP at 650FPS. Nicely tune at the sweet spot and fairly accurate but didn’t get to shoot it much.

here is what I did to dress her up so far:

- 11mm dovetail daily to Picatinny rail because the front movable plastic rail is a joke. The adapter should keep everything secure and aligned with the action. Had to modify it with dremel to fit the magazine.

- DonnyFL emperor because I have it, mouse fart quiet with the emperor! The shroud is nice and strong so the heavy emperor doesn’t feel like it’s moving around like some other guns.

- vortex diamondback tactical 4-16 scope, due to the stock and how far forward the scope rail is this is the only scope I have with long enough eye relief to be comfortable. A little over kill but aim small right?

- 2 Carms mags from Eastern Europe, they too took forever but They been sitting my parts bin for over a month! LOL

First impression: fun to shoot and pretty well made. I love the stock even though it’s not an AR stock, very quick to deploy and easy to use. Should be a great backpack gun. Can’t wait to take it out for some squirrels!

while waiting for the PP750 I tuned my PP700. Received the 16 inch and OEM .177 Barrels For my PP700 from Wes 2 days ago. Didn’t really have time to tune it till last night and this afternoon. At first I had it at around 720fps but the speed was all over the place so I increased the hammer spring and hit 900fps really quick. It shot at 900fps with really consistent speed, under 5 SD and 13 spread which is really good. But when it shoots there is a little Pfffff sound so I’m pushing past the barrel’s sweet spot even though it’s laser accurate. Turned the hammer spring nut 1/4 turn and the PP700 settled at 860fps and no more Pfff sound and laser accurate.

Super happy how both pistols came out today, can’t wait to shoot them more.

What can do you have on you 750? Vortex scope Is what I have for mine too. Fun for shooting flies!

Received my 750 today too. Without touching anything, I filled up to 230 ( my tank was low) and shot 3 mags through the crony. With 14.5 grain pills I got a high of 706, low 664 and av of 690. I figure it will tighten up as the reg settles in. Trigger defently needs Some attention.

By can do you mean the moderator? It's the DonnyFL emperor moderator, a little heavy for most guns but I got it more or less as a joke plus I want something as quiet as humanly possible for the back yard.

Did you get it tuned by Brian? Mind came at 660 and it's very consistent. Speaking of which should go shoot a couple of strings with chroni, I only shot one mag through chroni.....not sure I like how little the mag is.

The trigger is quite heavy, haven't seen anyone done a full write up on it yet. It doesn't bother me much because it actually breaks quite nicely but this gun had tuning service from Brian. Did you get yours tuned also?

Yes, I had Brian tune it. I am impressed with his work. I have been a gunsmith for 30 or so years and could not find a single screw head scratch. Maybe he didn’t have to remove any of the receiver screws. I am not impressed on the side lever cocking with this one. It’s very gritty. Like the spring is gouging inside the receiver. The hammer spring is all the way out too. Will have to play with it.

I was critically low on air so ran my compressor this morning to fill up the tank so I can shoot again.

put a full string of 19 shots through the pp750 from 25 bar fill. Right at 20th shot or around 13-14 bars the speed started to drop. here is the string and I must say it’s pretty damn good for a 230 dollar gun with 6 inch barrel, wish the barrel is a little longer.

so far the accuracy isn’t great yet, I say around 1 inch group at 20 yards but hope once the barrel beds in it would improve. Some shots were pellet on pellet but others were way off, shows promise, might have to do with the tension on the mag. Again, hope it will improve.

swapped the scope to the vector Byron compact scope so it’s lighter for the backpack. Still love this little gun and hope to get some squirrels with it soon.

edit: ok, I’m an idiot! My scope was loose so tighten the scope and shot a mag without the fx chroni attached and it’s almost pellet on pellet @20 yards......oh , this could be really good! Will try to find time to shoot more after the honeydos.

I agree the side lever is quite gritty! I’m hoping it would self “smooth” or grind out, it is a 230 dollar mulitshot side lever gun so with respective to that it’s really quite good. Only wish it had a little longer barrel, hope Wes can get some custom long barrels for it like the pp700.

Over all very happy with it, going to be my backpack gun for sure....obviously not with the emperor attached. =P

Hi guys the gritty felling is actualy the hammer coming across the sear all guns were completley taken down, If you remove trigger assembly you will find that the cocking is smooth, We did what we could with the sears not much to play with. They will settle out after a hundred rounds or so as we stated in the other thread. On the triggers we adjusted the inner set screw hidden up inside behind the trigger to help with the break adjusting the front screw should clean up the rest we felt it was a personel preference for the shooter to adjust this screw. I wish I could have ran a hundred thru each but not very pratical when doing 40 pistols in this run. Each mag was checked to make sure there was no binding check the nose of the pellets to see if they are to far one direction or the other. And yes they are very short so pellet seating is crtical I found on the 750s. If you have any questions please reach out and will be happy to go over any needs you may have. Again I want to thank all of you for your patience while we work on them.

Respectfully
Brian

Thanks Brian!

i held the trigger and went to town on the cocking lever and it feels better now, a little gritty but definitely improved. Also adjusted the trigger and it’s much better, I actually like how breaks really crisp. Only wish my PP700’s trigger can break as crisp.

the magnetic mag sitting or stop design is completely garbage and not precise. There is no amount work can really improve it outside putting a more precise stop for the mag. Well, in perspective of the price it’s not that horrible I guess.

hope I can try to shoot a group today at 30 yards, so far the 20 yard group has improved a lot and it’s about 1/2 inch which is god enough for hunting squirrels.

mince again I would like to give a shout out to Brian, with out his tuning service I would of retuned the pistol already Hahahaha

I have shot almost 700 shots through mine in the last two days. Both the trigger and the cocking have smoothed out immensely. I have adjusted the trigger pull and spring tension but nothing else. I did most of this shooting over the crony. But finally settled on shooting the 15.89 Hades with a 3 mag adverage of 679 FPS. Sighted in at 25 yards with a halo sight. Not as nice as a scope. But will work perfect for shooting inside the barns. Having a 1 ragged hole at 25 yards.

ahot 3 groups at 35 yards and the results weren’t great, at 20 yards it’s really quite good but really spreads out with only slight wind. Shooting 14.3 crosman HP and they usually likes a little speed so will try to turn up the hammer spring. Will also try couple of mags if Hades before I change any settings.

over all the gun has grown on me, just need to sort out 35 yard accuracy and it would be pretty awesome little gun.

Well, I shot two 6 shot groups with .22 JSB hades at 35 without changing anything and boy are they accurate. First group I pulled 2 and it’s all on me, second ground is all touching each other except maybe one. This is all shot with a thick hunting reticle so really good! Guess I need to crank it up a little for the CPHP tomorrow.

in my 1720T I was shooting 1-2 inch groups at 620fps but 1/2 inch groups or better at 645fps so CPHP likes a little speed down range. The crosman pointed pellets are very consistently accurate down to mid 500FPS.

Shot some shorts last night. The stock mag is worthless with these. At least in my gun they are almost impossible to chamber. Switched over to JSB 13 gn. Accurate and load super smooth. Plus I am now getting an average of 707 FPS for 23 shots.

Yeah, my factory mag is worthless also half the time. I might have to just deal with shooting hades. Tried the hammer spring but it didn’t do much and Brian said I need to up the regulator.
