Snowpeak PP700SA take apart

Hi Nelson, great tear down.iv got questions? OK I have a 700sa and the older modle 700 both 22 cal.I did,nt really play around with the newer modle much. The older modle green grip shoot 22 14.5 g. about 675 fps.and very quietThe new one.I turned the reg. in a couple turns and put a little more tension on the hammer spring, and backed out the Allen on the toploading port and only getting about 650fps.Did,nt want play with it any more and its noticeably louder. Were the first modle's just a little more peper and quitter?I sold the new one still have the old one.☝️ I did have the after market stock on both.Actually they shoot similar to a cabine rifle What I really like about the pistol,is you can pedal your bicycle past a bunch tree huggers and they smile at you a you,and you have your little none conformist toy in your back pack.Any thoughts?thanks Willy

Thanks Willy, not 100% sure why your new model made less power the only thing I can think of is you went to hight of pressure with the regulator and the hammer spring could not open the valve enough. I have done that with mine also I had the hammer spring maxed out and couldn't get over 600fps. Right now I have set my regulator down to 100bar and the hammer tension screw is only a couple turns in to get around 660 fps. As for the loudness from my understanding the green handle ones have a shroud that works better, I'm not sure if there is baffles inside those or not that help. On the new model the shroud has nothing to dampen the air coming out of the 3 air holes on top of the shroud. I have thought about putting in some batting that my wife has laying around and see if it helps anymore or not, also might try 3d printing some baffles and see if that will help at all. Even with the donnyfl on there its still got a good bark to it.

I like it for that same reason toss it in the backpack or under the truck seat and got something with you all the time thats fairly quiet with decent power.

Thanks for that video. Now if I want to put better O-rings in mine, I won’t have to know how to speak Russian to understand it like the other Only video I have seen.

Thats why I figured I'd try and make a video. I watch all of the Russian videos and wish I could of understood what he is saying. I also read the GTA 101 page (Bible for these guns) 2 or 3 times all the way through, It has tons information but is hard to go through and find it. I also recorded some of the mods I did but am hesitant to put it out because I wouldn't want to cause someone to mess up their gun.

I can completely understand what you mean because there’s a lot of people that try to get all the power they can out of their guns. I’m leaving mine stock. I even backed off my hammer spring a little bit and that was the only thing I did to it. I want to get a folding stock and I have a red dot for it but I am waiting for the mount to come in the mail. I’m not even gonna take mine apart until I have a leak which I Hope don’t happen for a long time.

I love mine too. Regulator is turned down a bit... measured at .050mm down from being flush. Hammer spring about two turns in from when the nut first makes contact and I feel resistance. Transfer port two turns in from flush.

Shoots the following pellets very accurately:

H&N Extreme Hunter

H&N Field target

Predator Poly Mags

It did get opened up some, I have gutted the regulator and opened up all the pathways that I could. That hole on mine when I originally took it apart was facing up. Thats a good trick for adding another oring incase someone has a problem with theres leaking in that area also. I did some videos and pictures of all the mods I did but not sure if I should post them or not, don't want to be the cause of someone drilling on there gun and then not have it work out for them. When I did it I knew that there was a chance I might be ordering another gun.
