The information below is to help Nelson with his not knowing (6:20 minutes) if he needs to enlarge the different holes, by his admission.

Just like with electricity, the longer the run, the larger the wire NEEDS to be to make sure that the wire does not get hot from the electrical "resistance" being backed up from too small a wire gauge.

Same thing with airflow. The longer the run, the larger the hole / port needs to be to keep flow resistance from slowing the flow. Just like sucking air from a two inch long straw, vs, sucking air from a twelve inch long straw. You'll pull more air faster, through the shorter straw.

Just high school physics.

As for the passages that were drilled larger in the video, the passage isn't really long enough to worry about velocity loss because of the length.

Though one thing, I WOULD deburr every hole that you enlarge.
