PP700 pcp pistol optics----Let's see'um

Equipped with a 2.5-8X Weaver Classic LER pistol scope



.22 MRodAir AirMax Precision single-shot PCP pistol

Brand-new this gun chronied all over the place, so I monkeyed with it to get these results.

*18.1gr JSB, 2800 PSI, 15 shot powerband* Lo= 591, Hi= 625, ES= 34, SD= 11, Avg= 607

*Five consecutive five-shot groups at 35 yards with 18-1 JSBs averaged 1.31” c-t-c.

After some research and backing the hammer-spring tension way off, got these numbers.

16gr AA, 3000 PSI, 30 shot powerband Lo= 581, Hi= 606, ES= 25, SD= 6, Avg= 596

1/14/2018- Five consecutive five-shot groups at 35 yards with 16 grain AA averaged .61” c-t-c.

 



Pistol setup I use a micro red dot. I think it has some parallax issues at 10yrds but not horrible. Shoulder stock long barrel and tube setup, I use a 3x9 AO compact scope with a one piece mount. I did mount a variable power pistol scope on the short version while testing the LW barrel I built. Waaaaaay more accurate than the dot but the gun started getting clubby again so I went back to the dot. I might try a small 2x pistol scope soon. I will drill and tap the action for a weaver base if I like it.

My PP700S-A fitted with the OEM folding stock, a DonnyFL adapter, 
and as a joke, I threw an Emperor V3 and Extender on there too. [It's super quiet]
I couldn't find my other scopes [they're hiding in moving boxes] so for the time being, 
there's an el cheapo CVLife laser/scope combo on it.
I figure I'll either fit it with my high end Tasco Red Dot, or, Green laser.. we'll see.. 
When actually shooting, I use a RONIN, so it's quite a bit shorter.

My PP700SA, twith Barska 30mm Red dot,
rework with Huma reg, and bridged with the onboard gutted reg. reworked the valve, made custom derlon seal increase thickness by .005, increased opening by .007, polished trigger and reshaped hammer. Multi baffle LDC makes her very quiet, Tuned for power high average 723fps / low 601 bout 27 shots per fill. Very accurate on my 25 yard setup and hard hitting with RWS Super Point.

can I ask a question, why are people buy the PP700 and not the PP800 which is a Diana Bandit

the performance looks the same, the trigger look to be the same as the Chaser which is very easy to redo to make very light, I have done 3 chasers I have

and the Chase-Bandit pistol is easy to add a Weaver Pinatinny bridge over the barrel by using a barrel band and Keymod 13 slot rail and using the center index barrel hole for the back mount

I have or should I say had both the Bandit and PP700. They are not even in the same league. I gave my Bandit to a friend for a garage gun. Trust me you get way more gun for a little extra money with the PP.

Simmons 22 mag 3-9x32mm. I usually shoot seated from a bench so this has been working for me. I hope to get the folding stock for it someday and turn it into a rifle.

The small 2x pistol scope is shooting way better than a dot. May keep it this way.

I was just about to ask the same thing. 

Do they make one in .25?

They don’t make a .25 but you can. It would just involve machining a .25 barrel to fit. I built several barrels for mine.

The small 2x pistol scope is shooting way better than a dot. May keep it this way.

This is so cool. How did you make it? Some complex machining or a relatively simple job. I really want to do this to my standard PP700SA. Guessing you can’t by them?
