Power wheel in new impacts!

My new impact power plenum's power wheel is different from my older impact power wheel function. In older impact Max > 5 > a > 4 > b and so on...5 used to give slightly more fps than a. In newer impact 5 = a and 4 = b ... 5 equals a in fps . I have measured with caliber to make sure and they are the same measurements in numbers and letters.

Do they really change the function and why?

Or am I just imagining things 🥴

What are you measuring!!! Slide bar HSTA ?? If so they have two different length new 16.5mm old 18.5mm .

each gun is different — no two gun shoot the same speed indicated on the wheel indent.

have repaired and tuned hundreds of impact and not one have identical speed on the wheel.

I think he means 5 and A used to give slightly different speeds. Now, the give the same speed. Like the cam lobe is the same on both sides of the power wheel. Or has it always been the same?

Quick question if you catch this Ernest. What do you prefer to use to bond a carbon fiber sleeve to a barrel liner?

The FX PP has a 52mm hammer spring and different valving system so I wouldn’t compare the two in term on the PW.

any glue will work, but at FX I used the black locktight quick set.

I'm not comparing gun to gun. I'm talking about velocities in power wheel. Power wheel at 5 used to give me slightly more fps than power wheel at A, 4 more than B, 3 more than C, 2 more than D, and 1 more fps than E. Now in new gun power wheel at 5 is the same tension and fps as A, 4 is the same as B and so on. What is the use of the letters if they give the same tension as numbers in the power wheel?

I see, have to look into that I never crony or used the letter side of the wheel I always assumed max is center of the cam everything before and after is the same degree of the cam.

Most of my impacts that are tuned for best accuracy and speed for one ammo because i used hold over and all my MRAD marker are ranged from 40y to 300y all high power in all caliber, but i have one setup to have 200fps spread between min#&max.

will look at old and new wheel and investigate.
