Power Plenum on .25 cal., 600mm slug liner and 33.5gr NS slug

To those who intends to buy an fx impact, test the gun first with max preload and max reg pressure at 150 bar with your choice of pellet or slug weight.
Those youtube videos will make you expect too much and end up tearing your gun apart for modifications.

Why dont you stop you negative comments my friend. I understand it is frustrating for you but I am 100% sure you dont know exactly how to fine tune your Impact.

Many members here who are not on Youtube and they get fantastic results and they dont feel to publish here because they dont have time to do this.

Sen your Impact to a professional and let him fine tune it properly.

Or do something like an adult and get it done.

Wish you the best

Regards

My friend, stop pretending you know better than me. Go get one and show me. You rely on purw hearsay. Gossip will not help you. Out of respect, i will not say you walk the talk again :)

Boy how old are you?

Hello everyone. I got two impacts . One mk2 25 cal 700 mm with the polish plenum for long range, and one impact x 500 mm 22 cal with the slugliner.

I got the fx plenum today for the x. Installed with the 57 mm hs. I’m planing using this for 22-25 grain slugs. So far getting Results from 950 - 1000 FPS depending on the slug.

so far I’m happy with the results but I have to run the reg at 150 to get the speed . I guess that’s because of the 500 mm barrel ? The gun seems to be very accurate tested to 120 yards. Anyone else tested the 500 mm barrel and the plenum ?

Hey, laughter is the best medicine. In this critical time of corona virus, a good smile keeps the doctor away. Vadimas, i am old enough to be the next victim of corona virus. :) What i mean is " i know better than him because i have the FX Impact with PP (all stock) and i can't get the the speed with just tuning and with no further modifications." The main topic is the "stock gun" can't wallop the 34 gr nsa slug more than 900 fps and it is contrary to what i saw and believe from yotube.. Some suggested modifications. Of course, you can pass 1000fps by machining and some other sort of mods. So, i posted what kind of tuning or magic that can pass 900fps by just "tuning" without modifications. GQ said it can be done. I said no. If i max out the hammer spring with 135 to 150 bar, the fps begins to drop from 135bar. GQ said everybody can and so it could be done but he has no 25 cal 600mm barrel to test. That is why i said you need to test yourself before claiming. Maybe GQ is thinking of replacing the spring, etc.. but that is not the point. Again, sorry if i have offended you. Please accept my sincerest apologies.

Admin, i suggest a closure of this issue. This is my last post in here.

I like how you call opening the transfer port a bit "machining". Get a 2$ hand file and get it done.

Thank you Glem. But i will be missing the ability to change caliber from 25 to 22 cal (The Impact was made for) with just turning those adjusters because at bigger port and longer spring, it will be impossible to lower the fps by 850, the sweet spot of every pellet. If i will loose that ability to change, then i should not buy an impact. My interest is to have the ability to shoot several calibers with little ease and discomfort.

With the stock kit, you can do that for sure.

Watch the tuning video by 68whiskey.

I don't believe everything what I am told or see, especially in YT movies. I always have to try it for myself. (Don't get me wrong, there are fantastic tuning videos on YT, but the negative is that everyone can post video's on YT😉

Turn all play out of the slider, and give it a little bit of preload. (read: a bit beyond all play removed.

Don't go too far with that, on max. you should be able to still compress the slider slightly by hand on "max" setting, otherwise you might mess up your power wheel.

Reg to about 145 bar and go.

With a higher reg pressure, your window regarding power adjustment range will increase, you will have a lot more range between "min" and "max" setting.

Thank you.

so after reading this hole thread, this is what i did with my fx impact MK2 .25 600mm slug liner.

i ordered and installed from KRAL shop the FX PP and guess what.... with the NSA 33.5gr i couldn't go more than 914fps with BAR at 160, hammer max and valve max.

i should also state now that my impact is new and the AMP regulator creeps!!

After many many slugs , i took the gun apart again and resembled it but this time i didnt use the longer spring that came with the FX PP instead i used the shorter spring that came from factory and also left more slack 7mm instead of the 6-6.5mm that the KRAL installation video says.

I now have 935fps (fx radar) at 150 BAR and everything else at max .

I do think thought that my regulator has problems and will change to the Huma regulator because my testings show:

From 250(full tank) down to 200bar i get 935fps then,

from 200bar down to 170bar i get 921fps then,

from 170bar down to 150(reg limit setting) i get 914 fps.

As you all understand, NO CONSISTENCY and thats sad for a 2000euro gun!!!

Any one else haven this fps drop wile tank is getting empty?

I have exactly the same situation with my gun. (I have to, MK2, 600mm slug liner) It is the first Impact with where it has the original factory installed PP, not a kitt.

I've shot many hundreds of different slugs, between NSA 33.5gr - NSA 38,5gr.... and tuned so many times.. and the best result what I get is... NSA 33,5gr, 150bar, hammer max, valve 2,5 line ---> 912fps...

I read this whole article,

it was a really interesting read...😅 ....and my conclusion is that without little bit of machining and changing a longer HS you can't accomplish much more..

correct me if I'm wrong.. but I think that I'm not!

But in the meanwhile I wait for longer spring...can somebody tell right measures and how and what I must to do for those!?
