Power plenum fo FX Crown

Why couldn't one take the regulated air gauge out, install one of the small air filterers from a compressor, then add the gauge to the filter. There good for 4500 psi and cheap. Or is that a dumb idea? Just need the correct threads. $20 and 20 minutes???

@ lenweber2, I did not understand what kind of compressor filter you thought of installing instead of the regulated air gauge .... if you like, put a picture.

I've done exactly that. Gained 2 fps... The gauge would move a tick with a shot, so I know there was air moving in and out of it. But it just didn't add anything useful. I may revisit it some day but I shoot from a bench rest a lot now, and the filter just gets in the way.

A AMP reg. at 170bar, Huma dual transfer port, knob on .25-.30 and a hammer weight give me 975fps with .22 Monster Redesigned pellets out of a 600mm slug liner. They aren't as accurate at 975 as they are at slightly lower velocities, so the desire to push them even faster isn't really there any more...
