Powder coating air gun slugs???

First off I'm new to air guns and bullet casting. I've casted a few hundred .510 cal bullets . Lots of the you tube video s on casting are using powder coating for bullet lube. Most of these guys are loading for pistols and black powder. Velocity seems to be close to the new big bore air guns say 45 cal acp vs hammer or texan cf. I'm new and inexperienced so I'm asking is powder coated cast bullets inferior to traditional bullet lube like Lee's .

Thanks for you input

Thank you so much for the info. I'm going to powder coat my cast bullets. I like the uniformity powder coating gives. The Lee bullet lube looks like black grease. You make beautiful bullets and then they look tarnished. I used moly coated bullets in the past in my powder burners for high volume prairie dog shooting and liked the results. Too me powder coating for air guns gives similar results to moly coating bullets in high power rifles.
