Point of Impact shift

I have 3 underlevers. TX200, LGU and HW97. I have found that with all these guns, there is sometimes up to a 1/2 inch POI shift from day to day, at 40 yards with no wind. I feel it may be weather related in that temperatures in my area can vary 30 degrees or more during the course of any day. It may also be humidity related too.

I am always cautious to keep the same hold and pressure on the guns. I even take into the account the cloths I am wearing for my shoulder hold.

Once zeroed in, I put pellets on top of each other.

Do any of you experience the same effect and if so, what do you attribute it to.

Its gotta be temperature. I'm a new TX 200 Mk III owner and my gun is about half broken in. I can put 10 pellets under a dime at 25 yds and have posted that group. Next day the gun will need to be re zeroed and then shoot all day just fine. Next day ... maybe no adjustment necessary maybe it has shifted again. Its not my scope and its not the mount. Yes wind moves pellets but we are talking groups. Not fliers. Or opening groups. Just a consistent POI shift.

"Dirte"I know shooting my TX the first several shots are off. I have to believe that something expands or the the seal becomes more pliable and seals better as it warms. I don't need to keep adjusting my scope day to day though. Perhaps weather would have the same effect.
Mine happens the same as yours, I thing that the temperature and the grease need to accommodate ...as soon as you give some shots the poi stabilize
