Pocket sized powerhouse

I'm liking the idea of a small 25 cal gun. The best I have come up with so far are the Edgun leyla 2 , Edgun leshiy 1 or 2 , Taipan vet shorty , FX Impact compact. Now for me , the leyla 2 has a charging handle similar to the R5M which I did not care for. the leshiy 1 is a single shot , whereas I would prefer magazine. The leshiy 2 and the Impact compact are ballpark 5-6 hundred bucks more than the Taipan. I have a Taipan so I am familiar with the cocking lever . I looked at Uragan compact but that only comes up to 22 cal. Not sure how small brocock compatto is or the kalibrgun series are but I think they range about 6-7 inches longer in overall length. The Kral NP-03 and the FX dreamtac compact frankly are not that compact in 25 cal and were not super impressive to me , again , IMHO. All these guns are decent , and I'm not trying to ride any of them down. I just plan to go shopping down the road and want to solidify my choice so I know what I'm saving for. soooooo....

Is there another option I missed that has all the good of a Taipan vet shorty , or more , within it's price range?

I guess Rangur1 and I are in the same mindset, I’ve a cpl Leshiy one in .22 and one in .25 I like them but eh, I’ve always had my eye on the lelya actually had the opportunity to try one out and love it, but I’m also at the point in my life that I’m not dropping big coin again, I have many very nice high end guns but I guess the one I would pet with first if the right deal came up would be my fx impact mk2 in .25 it just isn’t compact enough for my liking, someday without doubt someone will have what I want and swap for the impact ,,

For raw power and compactness the leshiy is basically unbeatable. Inline valve = ALL the power. And it folds up?

I thought at first this thread would be about a pistol.... my only .25 cal is just that. 9" barrel, 30fpe max. I did modify the power output by +%150. Not bad for $160, and has way too much accuracy for that price as well.

Only 20 yards, but I actually pulled the flier here. And the gun is unregulated!

I haven't seen anyone mention the Wildcat MkIII Compact in .25. I had a poor shifting POI experience with my .177, but seems most get an accurate one. It fits your size requirement and has pretty smooth side cocking.

But for the price even saving $100 over the Vet with a Wildcat, I think the Vet is vastly superior. The Wildcat just felt kinda cheap.

You haven't mentioned use, but consider that the Leshiy 2 is a heavy trigger pull, more AR style shooting than precision airgun. If that matters for your use - then stick with the Vet.

Ct shooter- sound advice and I did have an Mk2 cat and the hammer ping at my ear bothered me.

I sold my maverick for that very same reason! Sadly every bull pup will have that ping in the ear except for impact because the impact’s hammer isn’t 1 inch from your ear drum.

impact compact for power and slugs or Leshiy 2 for compactness.

yes , but my taipan was significantly more quiet with that than the wildcat or Vulcan 2 I had. But the impact compact would be more quiet based on design. So would Leshiy2
