My name is David Bitkowski, and I am the creator and CEO of Rx Target Systems. Currently we are comprised of myself, and Jason Schaetzke, Vice President of Marketing. I have been shooting for 10 years and am a practicing pharmacist. Jason has a background in law enforcement, firearms, finance, and education. We also consult with technical advisors where appropriate to bring the highest quality of product to the range.

Rx Target Systems designs and manufactures targets specifically designed for reacting to airgun projectiles. This means that within the recommended power ranges, the target will reliably fall while not getting ruined as seen with most of the commercially available airgun targets being shot with high foot pound guns developing over the past 3 years. Our targets are manufactured and assembled right here in the USA. When you receive our product we stand behind the quality and toughness of a Rx Target System.

Our mission is two fold. First we are bridging the gap between firearms and airguns, providing purpose specific target systems to enhance the skill of the airgunner. Using airguns when one cannot get to the firearm range has a value to maintaining skills such as muscle memory, transitions, sight picture and sight alignment, and trigger control. I saw a need for creating not just a target, but a system that could be applied in more than one scenario. Second, is one of philanthropy. We are committed to increasing awareness to pediatric kidney disease. A big part of why I started making airgun targets was to channel the enormous stress of dealing with our daughter’s diagnosis of a rare autoimmune disease, known as GPA, that resulted in acute kidney failure and need for kidney transplant to survive. We have set up a FUND in Melissa’s name that supports families of pediatric patients who are on dialysis. The long term goal is establishing a mobile dialysis unit for pediatric patients.

Our targets are Modular, 3- dimensional, rugged, and portable. The United States Patent-Pending Bull Challenge series currently has 4 available configurations and two paddle thickness options that are easily interchanged from one base. The field target models are of both World Field Target and U.S. Field Target configurations and allow the competitor to get accustomed to the common apertures seen on the course. The one-inch aperture target permits 1⁄4 - scale training for ISSF Rapid Fire Pistol when set at 21 feet and is also the size of the kill zone at 30 yards on a squirrel head. The fourth aperture is the 1.2 inch diameter bull which represents the 4-10 ring on the NRA AR 5/10 target. Hitting the center of this target will keep one in the black, if not dead center, when moving to the official paper target. Having a three dimensional presentation requires actually hitting the paddle with enough force to cause it to fall. Clipping the aperture does not guarantee the score. We pride ourselves in developing a rugged yet clean design that withstands both spectrums of the power. Whether shooting 30 foot pounds at 50 yards or 4 foot pounds at 10 yards, one target is all that is needed. Portability is a value to us; our targets are easily broken down and transportable in a bag or vehicle. This is essential as many ranges do not permit customers to leave their targets when they are done shooting.

Our Silhouette lines feature both stand alone and box sets and human like figures having 1.5 inch and 2.5 inch center masses. These are purposed for practical shooting options or just plain fun using replica airguns when one cannot make it to the live fire range. They are even adaptive to nerf and airsoft guns simply by changing the type of metal used on the target. Our most recent development is the resettable silhouette silos, which use solid steel animal figures scaled in 1:5 and soon to be available in 1:10.

In March, we will hit our three year anniversary, we have gone from a simple nerf and airsoft target to a resettable high powered airgun target system awaiting approval for a United States Patent. What has kept us going is the support and encouragement of the Airgun Community as we are entering waters very few had done with commercially available airgun targets. We take pride in producing high quality products that are not only skill enhancing, but also enjoyable to shoot.

Lou,

Thank you for your interest. Currently we do not have a target that will take 150 foot pounds, but it is being planned. The solid steel resettable Bull Challenge target was initially intended for muzzle energies up to 30 foot pounds with the 10 gauge paddles from 25 yards and 58 foot pounds at 30 yards with the 1/4 inch paddles. We also wanted to show real data of the targets done independently of the company. Paul Clarke, Jr. of the Wisconsin Airgunner's Association performed the analysis at 20 yards with 0.177 to 0.25 caliber from 4 foot pounds up to 53 foot pounds.

Green is recommended, Yellow is not recommended because paddles don't reliably fall down, Blue is not recommended because paddles start to rebound.

10 gauge paddles are reliable right up to the 30 to 31 foot pound mark before they start rebounding.

1/4 inch paddles are reliable from about 15 foot pounds to 53 foot pounds

Testing is ongoing. Last month another independent test showed 58 foot pounds from the muzzle at 50 yards with 10 gauge paddles using 25 cal JSB MKIIs.

Thank you, and feel free to contact us with any further questions.

Welcome to the Nation! Your targets look good and probably will be in my truck going to anywhere I can shoot with 30 yards or less. 10 meters with the pistol, perhaps even in my basement. Looks like I need two target sets to cover almost any shooting situation I need to practice. Squirrels and practice are two of my personal wants in the state of Misery. I hope for a win in your groups' acquisition of a Mobile Dialysis Unit for children. Be Well and God Bless. Bandito.
