Please tell about accuracy with .25 cal hades

That's too bad they are not shooting well for you. I detuned my Armada to shoot these pellets and they seem to do good. I haven't really had an opportunity to shoot them past 30 yards. I also have a MMHF barrel in that gun and that's probably part of the reason they are doing so well. That barrel has a very tight choke.

The .22 hades shoot great out of my taipan mutant. Very close to as accurate as regular jsb 16gr and 18gr.

So I bought two tins of .25 for my dreamline that also likes standard jsb pellets. It was a waste of time, barely keep under an inch at 25 yards.

My 25 cal FX Impact X shoots bug holes at 30 yards with JSB 34gr MK 1 and 2. But for the life of me, I just could not get the 25 cal Hades to group at any power setting. The 25 Hades group 1-2 inches at 30 yards.

I thought it was just me, but glad to know I am not the only one who can't get the 25 cal Hades to group.

In my Priest (cz barrel) they shoot just as good as 25 grain jsb Exacts. I'm perplexed why others cant get them to shoot.

I find the lethality of domes plenty and the accuracy at distances with domes is quite superior.

IMO the Hades is a great choice for pesting inside 50 and even better if concerned about incidental damage on the other side of the target. They do dump energy in the targeted animal. They are fantastic for indoor work. Their BC indicates they clearly dump energy in flight too though. This is likely why many comment about accuracy being inferior to domes. Generically, they don’t have the same accuracy potential at longer distances...50+ and that was not the design intent.

UPDATE

i finally got to taking my edgun R5 25 cal single shot super Mag out , I had it set 80 FPE , so first thing I did was remove my HUMA reg and install eds regulator and I set it at 115 bar ,

This gun was never tuned to shoot 45fpe it was bought for hi power , ok so I zeroed gun at 50 yds and yes all hades at 900fps are now touching , I got dope at 100 yards , and shot some steel spinners , it is fine , so my guess is , these are slightly smaller then my Jsb king and MK2 pellets , I also got 3 targets to shot from 75 yards it is under 1 inch so , It is accurate , Well Titus told me Now take that R5M and get me a squirrel I said ill try so me and Whiskers (titus nickname ) went out and got 2 squirrels , here is one from 96 yards and 102 yards , wow I can see big difference in hold points , from slugs to these , I had to hold like almost 5 mils to get him ,

PS Titus helps skinning them I get tail bone cut threw and hand him tail I hold on to body and legs and he peels off the skin , then He carrys up running to have my wife coo him his squirrel for his dinner , he loves squirrel accually more then coyote ,

Nickel size groups at 50 yards. Shooting the Hades at 880 out of my Flashpup. I have shot 30 or so squirrels and 9 coon this year with good results. No, they don’t expand as good as PolyMags do. But they do more so then the Kings or Heavy’s do. Good penetration and some expansion is what I like. Waiting to try them out on Woodchucks this spring.

Update

HI Just wanted to say I traded my 22 caliber leshy barrel for a 25 caliber one and I popped it in and this one shoots the Hades , I currently have gun with a 12fpe reg in it and it is shooting 594fps , but thet shooting straight as an arrow

so only 1 out of 3 guns i tried in is not grouping

Final update

OK if anyone has followed thread , I had gotten a case of 25 cal hades , and in my lelya 2.0 they spiraled bad . , I then detuned my r5 25 cal and they shot well , I then got a 25 caliber barrel from a member here and my leshiy shot them fine ,

Well when I pushed the hades threw barrel they had little drag like they were small for barrel , However the barrel I got from a member here his had very little drag pushing threw the hades pellet too and it shot well ,

I decided to chuck up barrel on lathe , I spent alot of time getting it to spin true within .001 I checked the face it was off .005 and I checked the crown and it was also off almost .004

I first squared end of muzzle and removed .006 , I then made an exact pilot for choke and cut an 11 degree crown with brownells cutter and cut a new crown on lathe , I decided to give barrel a fine tune polish since it was off so I got some 1200 grit paste , I cut a few delron bushings to fit in muzzle and breech and then I made a cast of my choke 2 inches long with a lead type casting materal , which casts at 200 degrees ,

I then cut down my cast .001 and cut some lines in it to hold polishing compound , then I spun lathe and pushed and pulled length of barrel , then cleaned and reinstalled ,

It is shooting now hades perfectly straight / my lelya shot pretty good king heavy's and mk2 , which is why I did not feel it was crown , and I somehow still dont know why it is shooting better but I am happy it is , if anyone has an idea please tell me why thanks LOU
