I have one like this on mine, but honestly only use it at home on the bench. They do need some minor "mods" to work "correctly".

First one is a drop in. You can fold Leshiy and there is a tiny gap between bipod mount and reservoir. 

Second is a bit better in my opinion, more stable and easy to operate. The only but is in the mount screw which must me turned by ~3-4 mm so it doesn’t get in contact with reservoir tube.

UTG Heavy Duty Recon.

A GREAT bipod and guilt free since it is not a clone of XXX. I sold my real Atlas and moved to these.

One of my favorite features is that they rotate 360 which allows you to put one leg forward, one backwards and rotate 90 to have a much wider platform. This would not be the case on the 2 piece model of course.

I've found that nothing really is as good as the Atlas for "Pan & Tilt" 

I've tried the other clones and they just don't compare. (I've done all the mods to them and still can't beat the real thing!)
I wish it didn't cost $279. But there is no other Bipod that can do it as well as the Atlas. IMHO!
Is it worth the extra $230 cost over the clone? IMHO, NO!
But what choice do you have? The clones just can't do it as well. 


If you're anything like me you're just going to have to learn the hard way.
