Please Help

Ok first Puncher Breaker, then BT65, next Hatsan Bullboss, after that Brocock Bantam Hi Lite. Sent them alllll back issues with each one. Thinking of FX Dreamline Bullpup in .25 Cal or a regulated Daystate of some kind. Really cant keep throwing MORE money at it. Someone help please I need reliable, hard hitting, plenty of shots, light weight, for hunting pcp. Suggestions? 1500$ or less

I was browsing Utah Airguns website this morning and it looks like they have the Dream-Pup in stock.

Talking to a buddy last night who just got one and he loves it! Nice thing about this model is it can be converted to a bottle gun if you wanted to do that at some point.

25 is a nice all-around caliber, hard to go wrong. And with adjustable reg, transfer port and hammer spring all external with the Dream-Pup, sure would be an amazing gun.

I have a Impact, Crown, Raw, RedWolf, and many others for hunting up to 50 yards I just use my Edgun Leshiy it’s light accurate I get 20 to 30 shots depending on caliber and I carry in my backpack a Benjamin 90cu tank that is more than enough for a days shooting. More than 50 yards I would recommend the new wildcats. I may be getting old but I never liked hunting with a heavy rifle.

Thankfully I’ve avoided the money pit issues you’ve had maybe just due to luck, I don’t know. I started with an Air Arms 400 then went to a 410 and never had an issue with either and still own the 410, brother has the 400, not bad for a starter. Since then I researched my way into a Taipan Veteran long 22 and found out why there are so many happy Taipan owners. You hardly ever hear of an issue except someone who got weak in the knees and sold one and now regrets it. For the money they’re hard to beat. I got mine, a swfa variable scope, and the biggest Omega carbon fiber tank for less than what some rifles cost alone. They have a great trigger, a magazine that works, anti double load, and a wood stock that won’t make you cry if you should scratch it. Also there are some very useful accessories made by a member here by the name of Papy Yosh. Good luck on your decision.

Disassembled the Crown last night to install some power parts, very simple. Don't be intimidated by the FX design. The Master Class videos make it easy.

The DreamPup is definitely on my short list. I'd just really like to know how reliable it is. Talk with someone who's put 200 ends through it.

Is that 200 pellets or 200 tins. Just keep in mind that 200 pellets is an afternoon for a target shooter. Some of the others mentioned have been in heavy use for years, The dreamline has been available for a month. We just don't have that history yet.

Why did the OP send all those guns back? Is there a common thread to his dissatisfaction or was there a major difference in each failure mode???

Subjective reasoning is hard to account for. Expectations (1 inch groupging at 100 yard right out of the box for a new shooter ) is an important bias that must be considered. One cannot buy good performance if one does not also perform.

They all were "special" in their own way. I have been shooting for over 30 years powder, and air rifles. I am fully aware of the limitations of PCP rifles. It is easier to come up with solutions than assumptions, atleast that is what I have always found.

mystryak i have a 22 wildcat no complaints i get 48 shots before it falls off the regulator its a good gun no problems and its over a year old only thing i dont like is no adjustibility i drilled a hole in the back of mine so that i could adjust the hammer spring without taking the gun apart i switched to a 15.8 jsb and the other day i was drilling them on top each other at 32 yards. I was going to buy an impact then i was thinking about a crown i am going to wait until the dream bottle comes out and see.

Ok, OP. Your question is ambiguous, and your deflection of follow on question is suspect. You must have all the angles figured out, already. At least you know how to ask for help. Knowing how to accept the help you asked for is another thing.

I have 30+ years of shooting also. 20 years carry as a uniform professional and have much first hand experience with the transition from the powder world to the airgun (piston and PCP) world.

Luck to ya. You will need it and a lot of disposable money.

I also was a "uniformed professional" SGT US Army Infantry. Stop trolling or make a suggestion. Or bounce your professional keister outah my thread please and thanks.
