Pishtov RAS-01

Following this closely. The ras06 looks pretty neat. They also brag 50 fpe in .22 for 45 shots. Not too shabby if it’s true!

That's in Joules. Thought that sange thing but only a 200cc 2900psi tube makes that rather impossible.

Crap, didn’t notice that. What does that translate to in fpe?

That RAS-03 looked like a pretty sweet little carbine. Was my second choice for sure, but instead I opted for cheap and flashy.😁

Looks like the regulated RAS-03 is currently the only one which is OOS. These guys probably didn't order too many guns until they saw what the market acceptance would be. And it doesn't seem like guns/air guns are their main line of business - the PayPal charge went to "autocarbid.com"

Just watched the first shooting video on YouTube. The guy was getting 2" group at 20 yrds. This worries me after ordering one myself. Also the rifle is super loud with a one stage trigger. He says it's his first pcp, but with a scoped gun you should get a ragged hole at 20yrds. Mine is on the way, I'm worried. Hope to hear from you other new owners.

It’s supposed to be delivered today, it was delayed due to the hurricane

I received a tracking # but I dont think it's been picked up yet, mine will be here next week I assume, but I live in Texas so maybe it will arrive sooner. This is the first time I've bought gun with absolutely no info or reviews viewed prior. I emailed Pishtov to ask if the barrel is threaded for a suppressor. The only review so far says he cant get the end cap off, and its loud, with one stage trigger.

I saw that video also. He did test the trigger and it had a pretty consistent pull weight of around 1.4 lbs, so that may not be too bad. I have the RAS-01 coming and it has the longest barrel of the bunch, so it will be interesting to see how loud it is. They all say they have a half shrouded barrel for extra-quiet shooting, so it's hard to say if they all do, or just the long barreled models. The specs are pretty much identical for all of then, with the exception of the overall length, weight and barrel length. As Ben pointed out in his unboxing video, typically a longer barrel will produce more velocity.

Unfortunately, I'm heading out of town, so I'm not sure if I will even see it before I leave today. It may be next Friday before I get to open the box and see it. One thing to remember, from their website:

No trouble with Pishtov Return Policy!

If you don't like, turn it back!

Mine is on the Brown truck for delivery today.

I'll get a couple of unboxing photos, mount a scope and test the trigger tonight (UPS normally does not deliver until after dark at my house).

I should be able to report chrono and accuracy testing tomorrow, along with any other 'shootability' notes, pellet preferences, etc.

I guess I'll have to live vicariously through you until I get back!
