I went to one of my favorite permissions to see how many pigeons have moved back in. I saw about a dozen when I first got there and shot two at 53 yards as soon as I pulled in. Over the next few hours more and more showed up until there were at least 75 in one flock and several smaller flocks.
I managed to get 14 which puts me at 104 in this location. I hung around waiting to see if any groundhogs came out and around 4:45 I saw 2 younger ones. Took a shot at around 50 yards and shot just over its head but now I know where to look and what time of day.
Took a few other pest birds including a collared dove. This was my best trip for pigeons this year. FX Dreamtac in .25 using 25.39 grain JSB King pellets.
