Was shooting Airguns the other day and was talking to a guy who said he had a broken airgun from his uncles estate. Said gun would cock and shoot but no pellet would exit barrel. Said I was interested in buying. I gave him my cell number and he took photos and txt them to me. It was a FWB124 that sat in his uncles closet for the past 38 years. I ended up giving him $250 for the rifle. This FWB 124 looks like brand new, stock and blueing are perfect. I disassembled gun and replaced disintegrated piston seal that I had on hand from ARH. Spring was fine, all the lube was dried out and hardened. I cleaned up, lubed with moly and reassembled gun. Shot 100 times and then shot over Chronograph, 7.9 JSB Exacts where right at 800 FPS. I cannot believe I have two of these guns now.

- i found one just like that - the guy had already taken it apart, but abandoned post when it came to getting all of that old piston seal out of the air chamber. mine had an beeman ss2 in the package also.. here's the "gun in a bag" i got and rebuilt in pics. it came out shooting about the same 800 fps without having to do too much with sizing the piston seal. i was happy with my $300 fwb 124 regular stock. - paul. .

My 124D that is fitted with Pro Mac Kit shoots about 75 fps faster than the one with factory spring, however I just removed open sights and fitted a 4-12 Hawk scope to the factory sprung 124 and gun is dead nuts accurate just like the higher velocity 124D. I set target at 35 yards and both the 7.9gr and 8.4 gr JSB exacts are all on top of each other. These 124's are incredible. I always wanted one and now I have two.

I picked up a FWB 127 out of a collection who’s owner had passed. The rifle was said to have been unaired. Well, of course I fired it with no effect to the pellet. When I rebuilt it with a pro Mac kit, the original seal was still 100 percent intact but separated from the piston. They usually turn to small curd cottage cheese in the compression tube. Fantastic rifle. Mine also has the regular stock which is great for a lefty shooter like me.
