Here is a picture of the mod I made to the picatinny rail Odoyle suggested n my Maximus. It turned out great. After cutting it I sanded the ends smooth with my Dremel and used a little flat black grill paint. Plenty of space to load pellets now.

Is that scope the Wal-Mart 30mm SFP 3-12x44 PLT BDC scope? How do you like it? Did you buy the $68 refurb or $80 EBay?

Yep, $68 refurb from WM. When I need another mod, I’m going to use one of the RWS Lockdowns I got on sale.

This is a good idea if you already have the adapter rail. If not, you can buy a set of 2 small, dovetail to picatinny adapters for about $12

I tried the picatinny rail adapters, stripped the screw head out on two sets before giving up. I couldn’t get them to tighten down to my satisfaction.
