We don't have squirrels here but we have Mongoose. Both shot within an hour of each other.

Do mongooses (or is it mongeese) eat bugs and snakes?

They are scavengers, we don't have snakes here in Hawaii unless someone sneaks them in. Mongoose are not native to us they were brought to Hawaii in the 1900 to control the rats which came over with the ships. But rats are nocturnal and mongoose are not, go figure.

You would have thought someone would have checked into that before releasing them.
