Pellets might Ricochet

I realize this is an post.. but i have the same set up ... .25 marauder and the same flip targets. during your test did the ricochet have enough momentum to pierce of go through the cardboard box. It doesn't seem like it?

I'm dealing with a situation where i am shooting @ flip targets 50 yards away... My neighbors, house is another 40-50 yards further back from my target and sits off to the left. there is thick brush directly behind my target... She says that she heard something hit the side of her house and it sounded like a bomb... she thinks it might have been my pellet. nothing is broken , I just want to rule me out of this this equation. I told her that it was highly unlikely that it was me but i'm just trying to see,

Worried about you? Next door?

Anything metal you just glance certainly will ricochet. Otherwise as far as Field Targets, keep in mind the MAX 20fpe they are made for, then 10 yards and you are safe ( actually may be closer to 11 yards). For 20fpe and under this distance came about from placing thin tissue paper all over the place - mostly shooting box tho - and firing hundreds of shots.

Heavy .222 rf spinners seem fairly safe past 25 yards ( again only 20fpe) but spoons WILL through right back at you, technically not a ricochet I guess?

When in doubt stay safe and it looks like you doing well there.
