I need to do some chrony work for my .25 and see that Gamo has some pretty cheap .25 pellets that weigh almost the same as the JSB Kings. Any reason not to use those as they are almost half the price?

I prefer to use the pellets I am going to shoot for gaining Chrony data, just makes sense to me.

What do you want to get from the chrony work?
Maybe you should ask yourself why you use the JSBs rather than the Gamos normally. If it is because the JSBs are better, would using the Gamos give you the analogous results you desire?

I've seen people shoot "every others" that is, they dry fire in between pellets to save ammo while chrony testing. My limited experience is: tuning can make you crazy! Also uses lots of air, time, pellets and patience. Usually worth it?
